The wrapping paper and the ribbons that were placed just-so are now crumpled and tossed in a trash bag (well, not the ribbon...I can reuse those!) and have been replaced by smiles, laughter and hugs.
This year Ashlyn's biggest wish was for an American Girl doll. The look on her face when she opened the present was priceless...
Landon wanted Star Wars Legos and he and daddy spent all day putting them together...
Ok, so daddy put them together but Landon was right there supervising the whole time.
After opening presents we enjoyed the yummy cinnamon rolls that Memejo made from scratch...and they were delicious!
Emay and Papa joined us and we had the wonderful meal that Chris prepared. I was so excited about eating the food that I forgot to take pictures of the dishes. This is about as far as we got...
But let me tell you it was GOOD! My mouth is actually watering right now as I think about it all...Minestrone soup, herb pork roast, twice baked potatoes, and vegetable parmesan (my absolute favorite!). And you can bet that I will be partaking in some leftovers tonight!
