10 Years and still going strong!

Chris and I are celebrating our ten year wedding anniversary today!  I can not believe I can say that we have been married for a decade!  Man, I am getting old!  A friend of mine pointed out that the ring bearer from my wedding is graduating from high school today!!  That makes me feel even older!

God has blessed us in so many ways over the past ten years.  We have had ups and downs and stuck by each other through every moment.  Over the past ten years we got our first "baby" (our Pug dog Jade), Chris graduated from Sac State, we had our beautiful daughter, Ashlyn, we purchased our first home, had our little man, Landon, I was diagnosed with epilepsy, we almost moved to Texas, Chris found a job with an honest company who truly values him, we lost our beloved Jade and our kids have started school.  We've come a long way from the (very) young newlywed couple living in a condo in Sacramento while Chris finished college.

I am so thankful for Chris.  He is my best friend and is one of my biggest supporters.  I try my best to support him in everything that he does.  Ultimately, we have come to realize that we just want to make each other happy.   We have seen each other at our worst and continue to love each other.  This reminds me of a quote from one of my favorite books, My Sisters Keeper:

"You don't love someone because they are perfect - you love them in spite of the fact that they're not"

I pray that God will bless us with many more wonderful years together.
